The kids can choose from nearly a dozen options, including an enchilada with beans and rice, a burrito and taco, a quesadilla and rice, chimichangas and beans, or a hamburger and fries, to name a few. Finish off with a sopapilla, a cheesecake chimi, or fried ice cream. Minas is located at 49 Hartford St. and is open seven days a week.
2. Gino’s Pizza & Spaghetti House
When Italian food is what everyone is craving, head over to Gino’s, which has been a West Virginia favorite for more than 60 years. We love their jumbo breadsticks with marinara sauce to whet the appetite. Signature favorites include the hot ham and cheese sandwich, the Sicilian, and the baked spaghetti. You also won’t go wrong with the pizza, like the pepperoni delight or the veggie. For the kids, order spaghetti and meatballs or chicken wings.
Gino’s can be found at 68 Main St. They are open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery and are open seven days a week.
3. Tiger Ice Cream & Grill
You know this will be a popular decision for the little ones, but before they dig into the ice cream, the whole family can enjoy items such as fried chicken, tacos, Philly steaks, calzones, cheesy bread sticks, meatloaf, country fried steak, pork chops, corn dogs, hot dogs, hamburgers, and much more. For dessert, try a Hershey’s hand-dipped ice cream cone with flavors like strawberry cheesecake, cookies and cream, and chocolate. Or go for a chocolate milkshake.
